A former Medina Valley paramedic was sentenced Friday to 10 years in prison Friday for distributing child pornography.
Chief U.S. District Judge Fred Biery also ordered Devon Charles Ferrington, 28, to serve 30 years of federal supervision once he gets out.
Ferrington’s activity is alleged to have occurred between Feb. 17, 2010 and Jan. 22, 2011. Officials in Medina Valley have said he wasn’t a paramedic there very long, and was suddenly removed from his shift one day after agents of Homeland Security Investigations began looking into his activities on his home computer.
He pleaded guilty this summer, and other child-porn charges were dismissed.
