BUNNELL –
Flagler County Fire Rescue and its World Champion Paramedic competition teams are hosting the fourth annual Emergency Medical Competition in Flagler County on October 6 and 7.
Twenty teams from around the country and abroad will be participating in the 24 hour competition beginning at 10 a.m., Oct. 6. Eleven difficult medical scenarios will face the teams to test their emergency medical knowledge and skills.
Teams from New York, Nebraska, Poland, Japan and The Czech Republic are coming to Flagler County to compete.
“As you can imagine, with an event of this caliber and magnitude we will need volunteers to have a successful event,” Fire Rescue Chief Don Petito said. “Flagler County Fire Rescue is seeking volunteers to participate as patients. Individuals with a minimal amount of medical background or those currently enrolled in medical training can volunteer as judges of the event.”
Volunteers will be provided with meals and snacks. To take part in this event as a volunteer, you can email Lt. Denise Pressey at: [email protected]
