LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – UAMS simulated a mass casualty incident on campus for their paramedic students.

The staged incident was to test the triage, treatment, and patient transport skills of students in the paramedic program of the UAMS College of Health Professions.

From the incident scene, the students will assess and prioritize treatment, then plan for transport to the nearby UAMS Simulation Center, which will act as a simulated hospital emergency room for the incident. A wireless manikin from the center will be used in the simulation to give the students a realistic patient to assess and treat.
